A Shadow (i.e. ME) Lurks

Not exactly what I had in mind, but awesome all the same.

Hey Gang,

I know I’ve been away for a moment, to which I can blame the 3 W’s (work, weddings, and writing), but I promise I will be back. Soon. And with more material than you can shake a stick at. I just need some time to get my act together, as this has been one of the most trying (yet somehow rewarding) summers of my life. Thank goodness for great friends and family.

Speaking of thanks, I would like to give a HUGE thank you to our newest paper astronauts Christine and John for holding down the fort during my sabbatical and Allison giving her all at her new job (I’m super proud of her by the way). You guys have been nothing but troopers.

Stick around, because the best is yet to come.

PAPERSPACESHIPS site changes!

So you, loyal papernauts, may have noticed things have been a little bit slow these past couple of weeks. Well there has been a lot of goings ons behind the scenes including new jobs for some of our writers and even a surgery for yours truly (don’t worry I’m fine). Anyway the biggest change is that we are splitting the site in two. Paper Spaceships was begun with the goal of blogging about genre books and news with forays into comics and general nerddom as we saw fit.

It has become a rather crazy at the moment. So in order to streamline and focus we have created a new site for film. That way nerdy book stuff goes here nerdy film stuff goes there. Cineawesome! is the name of the site. Go there. Bookmark it. Spread the news.

In other news we are in the process of getting some new crew for our interstellar journey so keep an eye out as they are going to be introduced within the next couple of weeks.

This is a time of year when we all open new dvds, books, comics and video games. Its like a cornucopia of nerdity. I myself got the Nikkatsu Noir collection from Criterion, the entire Powerpuff girls (hey we all know you secretly like it), and all three seasons of the best canceled show on television: Arrested Development. Site Changes

Hey!

You may notice if you’ve been here before (or if your just joining us welcome) that the site is going through some changes! Please don’t mind us as we try to make the site better and inevitably crash things and break things etc.
